How do you generate love for a local coffee company when Seattleites see it as a ubiquitous, global coffee chain? We answered by creating a campaign that highlights local sponsorships—and by giving away free stuff. The voice and tone required authenticity and a local perspective. I created the tagline (From Here For Here), wrote compelling headlines and copy, and oversaw the visual expression for this long-running campaign, demonstrating Starbucks love for its hometown.
